**The Water Cycle**
Hello everyone. Today we will talk about the water cycle, also called the hydrologic cycle. It is the way water moves around the Earth.
1. **Evaporation** – The Sun heats water in oceans, lakes, and rivers. The water turns into invisible gas called vapor and rises into the sky.
2. **Condensation** – When the vapor gets high, it cools down. The tiny drops of water join together and form clouds.
3. **Precipitation** – When clouds become heavy, water falls back to the ground as rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
4. **Collection** – The water gathers in rivers, lakes, and oceans again. Some of it soaks into the ground and becomes groundwater.
5. **Runoff** – Water that flows over the land returns to the oceans, completing the cycle.
The water cycle never stops. It keeps the Earth’s climate balanced and provides fresh water for plants, animals, and people. That’s the basic idea of the water cycle—simple, continuous, and essential.
