Joseph: Hi Richard. Glad to see you.
Richard: Oh Joseph. I’m also happy to see you. What’s up.
Joseph: I’m good. Thanks.
Richard: Hey, are you sure everything’s going well? You seem to have a problem and are upset.
Joseph: Honestly, yes, I have a problem. I can’t do any of my work accurately. I can’t keep my
promises and things don’t go my way.
Richard: Are you planning?
Joseph: Not at all. I don’t plan. I used to write the daily tasks that I wanted to do but after a
while, I got tired of writing them.
Richard: Planning is very important. Writing also makes us follow them and not neglect them. If
daily writing doesn’t help you, plan weekly.
Joseph: How should I plan weekly?
Richard: The first thing is that you should do your weekly planning on Sunday. Find a quiet
place and spend ten to fifteen minutes planning your upcoming week. Planning on Sunday will
make you start Monday morning more focused and productive.
Joseph: I realized it. What else should I do?
Richard: You need to set your weekly priorities. Start by making a list of all the things you want
to do that week. Review them all and decide on your top four or five priorities for the week.
You’ll get confused at the beginning of the week if you don’t prioritize.
Joseph: Time to do things is not important?
Richard: The most important part is timing. Once you’ve identified your priorities for the week,
you can schedule them in order of importance. When planning your day, focus on priorities that
will help you reach your weekly goals. Be sure to write your program where you can see it
clearly.
Joseph: How do I stick to my schedule?
Richard: To stick to your weekly schedule, you need to track your progress in following the plan.
Celebrate your small successes and try to resolve any obstacles you may encounter. Reviewing
the weekly program and checking your successes in implementing the program will give you
more confidence and not stop implementing the program.
Joseph: How can I avoid planning failure?
Richard: There are some things to remember. Do not plan in a hurry and do not fill all your time
with activities. Not always 100% of your work runs according to plan. There are always
unexpected things you cannot plan for. Do significant things early in the week.
Joseph:
Joseph: Thank you, Richard. You helped me so much. I will definitely try weekly planning.
